Our presentation starts at 1:37 on the tape. Spoiler alert - the BoS chair stated at the outset that no decision would be made on the proposal at the meeting. But if you don't know anything about the Marina or the development of the pier you might find it interesting anyway.
Dockage rates are set for 2019. We are again offering discounts for early and timely payment. Current slip customers in good standing will be receiving slip cost estimates and 2019 licenses during the first week of December. Deposits are due by January 15, 2019. After that we'll be able to consider requests from new customers.
We were sold out for the 2018 season and expect a high rate of renewal. We keep a waiting list and if you'd like to be on our contact list for openings in the future, please submit our request using our web form

Steamboat Wharf Marina is a private marina with limited Guest Dockage.
For overnight stays you generally need to make your reservation at least 48 hours in advance. You may submit a Reservation Request Form or call the office Monday through Friday during regular business hours (8 am to 4 pm). The overnight charge is $3.00 per foot. Checkout time is 11 a.m. Shore power extra ($8 per day for 30 amp service / $10 per day for 50 amp service). In the event you are requesting a reservation for a date within the next 48 hours, please contact the Marina Office directly at 781-925-0044 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
We do not take reservations for hourly tie-ups. During the evening and weekends you may hail our Dock Staff on VHF-7 to determine space availability. Hourly rates (limited availability - first-come, first-served - no tie-ups for any length of time without permission of staff):
dinghies (10' or less) - $10
under 30' - $15
30' to 39' - $20
40' to 49' - $30
50' to 65' - $40

Before we launch your boat you must assure us that:
- The boat keys and cabin combinations are in the office
- That the batteries are fully charged
- That the bilge pumps are operational
- Fenders and lines are on the boat
- All thru-hull connections and shut-off valves are operational
- Drain plugs and hoses are securely in place

And, Steamboat Wharf Marina requires all slip customers to have a signed Slip License, certificate of insurance - including pollution coverage, cleanup rider and naming Steamboat as an additional insured, and boat keys/cabin combination on file before a boat is launched or arrives in the marina.

The days are getting longer and some of you are getting itchy to cast off the winter covers. We will be mailing information to all current marina and boatyard customers in early March to obtain your service and launch date request. Also, if you've stored your boat in your yard or at another site, ask us about hauling your boat to Steamboat for service and launching here at the marina.
Seasonal employment opportunity - Dockhands --
Dockhands, working at the direction of the marina management/dock master - daily dock inspection, assist our slip customers and our guest dock customers, and provide assistance with maintenance and chores around the boatyard and marina building (trash, clean bathrooms, phone coverage). Our general staffing needs are early morning (7:30-10:30) and evenings (approximately 3pm -sunset weekdays; until 10pm weekends) between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and on weekends the entire marina season (May 1 to October 15). Good work ethic, customer focused, basic boat handling skills, safe boating certification. We have limited launch service, so if you have a USCG launch drivers license that's a plus. Also responsible for collection of guest dockage fees, beach parking fees, ice sales. We need good teammates and your ability to work flexible schedule and weekends.

We have also posted our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for working at the Marina. The procedures are part of our Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. All marina employees, outside contractors, and boat owners working on their own boats are required to adhere to these procedures.
