Replica of the schooner America, for which the America's Cup is named will be visiting Massachusetts Bay in late July as part of an epic tour to promote interest in the next edition of the America's Cup.
The yacht will be stopping overnight at Steamboat Wharf Marina - July 23 through July 25. Sunday evening will be a private gathering for Marina slip customers; Monday will be open to the public for close-up viewing from Nantasket Pier/Steamboat Wharf. There will be other events in the area (Scituate Harbor, Hull Yacht Club, and more). We'll post updates as they emerge.
We'llhave some food truck options on site for you, and as always you'll finding many dining attractions nearby and at Nantasket Beach.
Important note - there will be no transient dockage available while America is with us. At 139 feet in length overall, the vessel will completely cover the public transient dock at the west end of Steamboat Wharf. And all our slips are sold out to seasonal dockage customers and we do not have moorings. Please plan your visit by land accordingly. Plenty of public parking in the DCR lots along Nantasket Beach.
